Not many people retire at the ripe age of 24, but I did—from playing professional basketball.

Thanks to that career, I lived in Stockholm, Sweden and a small town in the Czech Republic.

When I came home to the Midwest I tried on a few different career hats, like coach, teacher, and bartender.

These days, I mostly wear the hat of Creative Director and self-proclaimed "cool mom."
